Thursday at the 2011 Pan Am Games Ryan and partner Hugues came out with a blistering start in the heats to finish 1st with the best time overall of 31.928 to advance directly to the final in the Men’s K2 200m. In the final they showed again why they have been medal contenders all year, finishing first and cementing their dominance among the Pan Am countries.
This is the second year in a row Ryan and partner Hugues won GOLD at the Pan Am’s in Men’s K2 200m; this time at the 2011 Pan Am Games and last year at the 2010 Pan Am Championships. This year’s win qualified Canada for 2012 Olympics in Men’s K2. Things are looking bright for the road to London 2012 and the 2012 racing season.
