Ryan had a solid Canadian National Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ryan reached the podium 3 times, coming first in the K2 500m and 200m with partner Pierre-Luc and 3rd in the K2 1000m. In the K1 200m Ryan went in with a blistering time only to be caught backing up when the gun went off, he still did incredibly well to come 4th by a faction of a second while playing catch-up the whole way.
Ryan also, attended a meet and greet at his first and old canoe club Pisiquid where he talked and answered questions from many of the young members.
